THE ACCOMMODATION

 

The Clynsaer provides accommodation for up to ten adults with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and mental health needs. The Clynsaer is a mixed gender home.

 

The large, detached property sits in over three acres of land and provides comfortable and spacious accommodation with many period features. The house has ten single bedrooms, five with ensuite bathrooms and has large communal areas including a spacious dining room, a large television lounge with Sky television and a comfortable ‘quiet’ lounge.

 

There are bathrooms and shower rooms on all floors including one with a spa bath. In the summer months the service users make use of the beautiful gardens enjoying BBQ’s and relaxing in the various outdoor seating areas.

 

The Clynsaer offers a large on site Activities Centre which provides a large training kitchen, a fully equipped woodwork room, a computer room, lots of space and equipment for arts and crafts projects, a room providing sensory equipment, computers, a large polytunnel and raised beds for gardening projects. There is an onsite gym with a treadmill, cross trainer and multi gym.

 

These on-site services and accompanying risk management systems, enable service users to develop individual skills, improving their self-esteem and social awareness. 

 

The service users at The Clynsaer are fully supported to utilise the local facilities and have access to two dedicated vehicles. Regular outings are made to Swansea, Carmarthen and Cardiff with the Heart of Wales train service running from close by and the M4 within 40 minutes drive.
